wine tasting experiences in NSW. From
garage cellar doors, to distinctive historical,
buildings and vineyard art galleries, our
vineyards are an enriching encounter. And
that is before you have taken a sip of some of
the country's most outstanding wines.
Today there are over 40 vineyards dotted around
the Cowra, Billimari and Canowindra area.
Leading wine critics are continually heaping
praise on our wine region. Four local
wines were named in James Halliday's top 100 NSW
wines.

The Mill is the Cellar Door for Windowrie Estate
- one of the largest producers in the area. |

The Cellar Door was once part of an old flour
mill that was built in 1861 from local granite
and has been painstakingly restored after lying
empty and vacant for over 90 years. |
|
It is the oldest building in Cowra and well
worth a closer inspection in its own right.
Make sure you go upstairs and particularly
checkout the restoration of the toilets there !! |

THE QUARRY CELLAR DOOR AND RESTAURANT |

The Quarry Cellar Door plays host for seven
local vineyards and offers a wide range in just

KALARI CELLAR DOOR AND ART GALLERY |
|
Kalari is a family owned boutique vineyard along
the Darbys Falls Road in Cowra. It was
established in 1995 with plantings of Verdelho,
Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes. Other
varieties have since been added. |

The Cellar Door has been expanded to include the
Art Gallery. This facility has become
increasingly popular and now exhibitions are
being held all year round. |
