Dear Francis, Thank you for your responses. I was 11 months old when Dad went away to War. He was captured on the courseway when Singapore fell. He spend some time in Changi Prison before being consigned to the railway gangs. He died in July 1943 at the Burma end of the railway, when I was 3 years old. His death was not official until 1946, when a survivor eye witness confirmed his death. He died of berri-berri. Helen
